TOKIO, 24 abr (Xinhua) — Un sismo de magnitud preliminar 5,0 sacudió hoy miércoles la prefectura japonesa de Ibaraki, ubicada justo al este de Tokio, informó la Agencia Meteorológica de Japón (JMA).
El movimiento telúrico ocurrió a las 20:40 hora local a una profundidad de 60 kilómetros, alcanzando en partes de la prefectura el nivel 4 en la escala japonesa de intensidad sísmica, de un máximo de siete, precisó la JMA.
El epicentro del seísmo se situó a 36,5 grados de latitud norte y a 140,6 grados de longitud este.
Los temblores se dejaron sentir en el centro de Tokio.
No se emitió ninguna alerta de tsunami tras el terremoto y no está inmediatamente claro si el mismo ha causado daños personales o materiales.
